The third studio album by the post-punk band from Bergisch Gladbach is released exclusively on vinyl via Audiolith.
After numerous digital EPs and contributions to compilations, as well as their two previous albums "Erziehung Zur Müdigkeit" (2018) and "Ich - Wir" (2020, This Charming Man), the quartet from the Cologne area has continued to evolve their music, blending 80s punk, garage influences, and wavy-pop aspects. With their new 14 songs, following a label change and a studio visit with Gregor Henning (Studio Nord), they come across as almost professional. Addressing themes of alienation, conformity, labor struggle, and solidarity, navigating between Generation Y and Z, lost in real life, the internet, queer parties, meetings, and supermarkets - Pogendroblem knows that they will have a worse future than their parents' generation and casually process this perspective with political statements, friendship, and punk spirit. Still deeply rooted in the DIY punk scene, the former provincial gang combines intellectual acumen with youthful impatience and cuteness. "A. W.I. N.H. S.M. K." is a sharply honed post-punk bayonet, brimming with erupting anger, utopian desire, and cool hopelessness.
