Belgium and grindcore? Of course! People of that country have a damn good taste in extreme genres! This trio started to blast 5 years ago, but only this year they managed to release their first solid work. “Loathsomeness Is Bliss” is a story with 20 sonic grinding songs, that surprised me with the speed, aggression, and quality. First of all this record is solid packed with good riffs, tempos and twists. There are no radical new elements in the mix, but Loathsome found a good balance between grindcore speed, death metal punches and modern sharp sound. Each piece of the song is perfectly whittled down, so you won’t find unnecessary details. The best things in this album are its pumping energy, aggression and atmosphere of madness. A combination of grind and death riffs is tasty, the screaming vocal reminds me a bit of black metal style, and the drummer will nail you with his blastbeat technique.
