AMBULANZ, out of Leipzig, delivers messy art-punk that oscillates between angular, kraut-y experimentalism and catchy, sing-along fun. Dual vocals play off bouncing bass and swirling synth, always teetering on the edge of disintegration. Their songs delve into loss, anxiety, substances, fleeting joy, and the flicker of hope. They straddle the line between accessible oddity and art-haus freakout without tipping too far to either side. That kind of balancing act could easily sink into mediocrity-but not here.
