The latest 8 track mini album from Scarborough thrashers Active Minds tackles topical issues from internet conspiracies, the excesses of the rich and the Hostile Environment, through to the Trump presidency. There is a thread linking many of these subjects. Playing through a range of styles, rooted in punk, across the whole record they look back at the last few years and ultimately ask whether we have reached the saturation point where things are so bad they will finally change. As a 2-piece, Active Minds double up the guitar through a special splitter pedal and separate amp to replicate the missing bass.  And this allows them the opportunity of playing bass lines. Clever shit.
