"The Half-Life of Teaspoons combines the fury and urgency of DIY punk and hardcore with a restless experimental edge drawn from post-punk and mathcore, utilising effects pedals, varied time signatures and dissonance. The effect is a varied and at times deliberately weird musical experience with shades of light and dark, from the spiky intricacy of "Fake Fake Fur" to pop/muzak interludes in "Rinse and Repeat" and "Pushing Buttons" to the thrashy onslaught of songs like "Not Your Meat". Manchester DIY legend Kaz’s furious punk vocals hold the whole thing together, giving voice to the frustration and outrage that comes from living in racist, misogynist, dysfunctional late capitalism
